  1. I have been down this road on Dec. 16th, 2006. I know the whirl wind of emotions that are in habiting your life right now. I can feel your pain with you. Every tear that falls and the burn of your eyes. I understand it. I am truly deeply sorry you are taking the same journey I started on 3 and a half years ago. But in this journey, you get to see God face to face. You will see his healing power in Claire every single day. Your faith will grow. Your strength will come directly from answered prayers. You are a mighty child of God and he is carrying you through this time. Claire is a beautiful Angel that God has left on this earth for a reason. Consider yourself Lucky as I do because God has trusted us so much with this journey. But most of all. Believe. Believe in Healing. Believe that all things work together for good. Believe that God is right there with you. Know that it is okay to cry. Know that it is okay to miss what once was. Know that you have many other special needs mommies out there to walk you through. Know that EVERY child is different, every injury is different and no child or recovery should be compared. Know that you are loved. Know that MANY are praying for Claire and your whole family.

I would like to put her link on my sons blog. If that is not okay, please let me know.

Prayers and hugs from your sister in Christ who has walked and is walking this journey. Keep your head up.

  2. God Speed!! Claire and family, you are in our prayers always. There hasn’t been a minute pass that we are not thinking of you all and praying for you! In His Name!

  4. To All,
Our prayers are with you, my heart goes out to you, and I can’t imagine what you are going through, but I know God sees, God knows and God cares about all of you at this time.
God will see you through when nothing else can.
I will continue to pray for healing for Claire and peace for all involved.

  5. Dear Tyler and Tiffany,

This morning I received a message on facebook, forwarded from an author friend who’d received it from another women. She’d read Parting the Waters, a book I wrote about our son’s near drowning in 1996, and felt I could be “an amazing encouragement” to you. I hope and pray I can.

Jacob was fifteen and was denied oxygen about as long as Claire. He was in a coma for two months and slowly emerged over the course of a year, making a miraculous recovery that confounded doctors and inspired an entire community. I just read all your posts, and I’m so encouraged about Claire’s progress. Please know I’ll be praying for you, and if you want to talk to someone who has walked this road before and found God faithful, I’m available. My e-mail address is jeanne.damoff@gmail.com.

We continue to see God at work in the ripples that were set in motion fourteen years ago. I know your hearts are raw and questions abound right now, but I pray you’ll have the grace to see Him daily, even through your tears.

Your daughter is beautiful. Much tender love to you all.

  7. Hold strong! God created us and He has the ability to heal completely! Take a deep breath and relax in the arms of our dear Savior! Praying and love you guys!

  8. Prayers are being said for Claire and all of you from so many people that you do not even know. May you feel the love and embraces from everyone.

  9. Tyler and Tiffany,

  10. I am praying for you all like crazy! You are all in my positive, healing thoughts and my prayers constantly. We all have our own unique journey and I wish I could carry you during this part of yours’. But know that God is carrying you and he will get you through this. And countless people around the world, including me, are right here beside you, walking with you in hope. Much love to your family and your beautiful Claire.

  11. Hello,
You don’t know me. I noticed a link to Claire’s story through a friend’s comment on FaceBook.
I hope that I am not inruding. I wanted to extend my prayers to you and your family. I can only imagine what you are going through at this time. I have two daughters myself, ages six and three and a half, they have been in swimming lessons continuosly since May of last year. Even so, I am still and will continue to be a paranoid mom when it comes to them, not only in the water, but near a street, or in a store, or in a car. I think that is just a normal pattern for any mom. To live through the unthinkable, like you are doing now, shows the true strength that mommy’s have. Be strong. You have your family and friend’s support. You also have mine, a stranger that wants you to know that I will keep you and Claire in my prayers. I will pray for the best recovery possible, and for you to have continued strength and faith to see you through. God Bless you.
